This primary mode of Kang’s practice has also landed on her interest in alternative gallery space and site-specific art. In rejection of product-driven art-making, the making of her works often goes beyond the production stage and continues to evolve during and after exhibitions in relation to time and space. Working with an expansive range of media, including photography, performance, sculptures, and installation, Kang welcomes the unknown and unpredictable during the process of making and embeds the performative and the temporal to be part of the work.
